There are few people in the society who leave mark of their constructive work and stand firm on their achievements . Hon. Suryakantrao Hadoltikar Guruji was one such mathematician known for his teaching skills and his Maths laboratory in Nanded city and Marathwada region of Maharashtra. This innovative initiative was started by Hadoltikar guruji through which students could understand the entire difficult syllabus of maths subject, by way of learning through the experiments. His contribution to education field is unprecedented.
Shri Suryakantrao Hadoltikar Guruji during his life dedicated 30Years to teaching in the field of education. He was a renowned teacher not only in Nanded district but in entire Marathwada region in Maharashtra-India.
He always said that the process of acquiring knowledge is more important than actual knowledge. Thus awareness of mathematics Laboratory was established. Through this he brought a new theory into the education sector. Many of his students who were apprehensive about mathematics became math lover.
In the year 1983 in Nanded District he was honored with “Adarsh Teacher Award” by the Government of Maharshtra.
His work was also notedand awarded by Lions Club Nanded.
Shri. Suryakant Hadoltikar Guruji was known all over Maharashtra for his innovative initiative of Math Lab. He became famous and this attracted lot of prestigious visitors to his Mathematics Laboratory like Honourable Ex- chief minister “ Late. Shri. Dr.Shankarrao Chavan”, Ex-Chief Minister “Honourable Late. Shri. Vilasrao Deshmukh”, Ex-Member of Parliament “Shri Vitthalrao Jadhav”, State level minister and founder-Chairman of MGM Institutes Honourable “Shri. Kamal Kishore Kadam”, Marathi Scholar and Critic “Shri. Narhar Kurundkar”, Mathematics expert “V.K. Wad”,Professor for Astronomy at Inter University Centre “Dr.Jayant Narlikar”, Education Director- V. S.Chiplunkar and many more such well known dignatories. Sir received feedback and suggestions of these deep thinkers and was inspired to work in the field of education for nation building..of the modern generation.
In 1985 Shri.Suryakantrao Hadoltikar Guruji and Honourable Shri. Vithalrao Jadhav Sir, together established “Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Education Science and Technological Research Trust” in Nanded. Guruji was Member-Secretary of the trust until his last breath.
Today this Education Trust has expanded tremendously and has many schools, Colleges, Agriculture Vigyan Kendra etc. All these institutes are functioning in a quality manner in Maharashtra. Many students pass with merit from these institutes benefiting the society at large.
